Chelsea And Manchester United Make Eduardo Camavinga Approach As Real Madrid Set Price

Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly made contact over Eduardo Camavinga after Real Madrid set their asking price.

Spanish outlet SPORT claims Real Madrid will listen to offers for the French midfielder this summer. The report says Madrid value Camavinga at around €60million, despite the £1billion release clause in his contract.

Liverpool, PSG and Juventus have also been linked with the 23-year-old. That wider interest could help Madrid create a stronger market if Camavinga leaves the Bernabeu.

The key caveat is clear.

Camavinga reportedly wants to stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place under Jose Mourinho. That means this is not yet a transfer racing towards completion.

Chelsea’s interest makes sense on paper because Xabi Alonso is preparing to reshape his midfield. Camavinga would offer ball-carrying, press resistance and Champions League experience.

Frank Leboeuf has already backed the idea of Camavinga moving to Stamford Bridge. Speaking to BoyleSports, the former Chelsea defender said Camavinga and Moises Caicedo could form a strong midfield pairing.

ReadChelsea has already covered how Enzo Fernandez gives Chelsea fans a clear Argentina World Cup focus. Camavinga links now add another layer to the midfield conversation, especially with Enzo’s future also drawing regular transfer noise.

Manchester United also need midfield reinforcements under Michael Carrick. Ederson looks set to join from Atalanta, but United continue to assess other options as Casemiro exits and Manuel Ugarte faces an uncertain future.

For Chelsea, the question is not only whether Camavinga is available.

It is whether they want to enter a race that could quickly become expensive if several clubs move seriously. At €60million, the opportunity looks tempting, but Camavinga’s own preference may still shape the deal more than Madrid’s asking price.

For now, this is one to watch rather than one to overstate.

Madrid may have opened the door, but Camavinga still needs to decide whether he wants to walk through it.
