Mateus Fernandes terms already agreed with Manchester United

Mateus Fernandes is becoming one of the hottest midfield prospects for the summer transfer window, it looks to be the summer of midfielders.
Already the likes of Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson have been identified as top picks for the summer, with Manchester City looking to sign both in one window.
While they seem to be in charge of the race for Anderson, Tonali is still an open fight for his services, as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the Newcastle United man.
However, with West Ham United having been relegated to the Championship, several stars are being eyed to remain in the Premier League, with Mateus Fernandes being a prime signing.
The 21-year-old has excelled for West Ham after moving from Southampton last summer, scoring four goals and grabbing four assists in 38 games this season.
As such, the Portuguese midfielder is drawing attention from Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool and even Real Madrid.
However, in his most recent YouTube update, talkSPORTS reporter Alex Crook explained that there is already agreement to join Manchester United.
Explaing the situation, Crook commented: “Daniel Kretinsky, who is about to become West Ham’s majority shareholder, is hoping he can keep most of the other big hitters. That is unlikely, though, to include either Summerville or Mateus Fernandes.”
He continued: “Lots of interest in Mateus Fernandes as well. We know that Manchester United have basically got personal terms already agreed. Tottenham are now showing interest in Fernandes as well.”
It’s already known that a bid of £70 million is ready to be launched by Spurs as part of Roberto de Zerbi’s aggressive transfer strategy, having taken on the powers of manager rather than head coach when joining the London-based side.
At this time, United are yet to make a bid for their prized midfielder, however, The Red Devils will need to formally enter the race soon if they hope to bring Fernandes in alongside new signing Ederson.
