Player has no agreement with Arsenal – Handling ‘identical offers’ from Gunners and Liverpool

Arsenal and Liverpool have their sights on FC Porto’s Victor Froholdt.

Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from Portugal that Arsenal and Liverpool are following the midfielder.

However, Froholdt isn’t the only midfielder on the Premier League duo’s radar this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s side and the Reds are competing to sign Kolkheti 1913’s Andria Bartishvili this summer.

Update from Georgia on Arsenal and Liverpool

That’s according to Georgia’s Geo Team, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share an important update on the Gunners.

The 17-year-old started at Dinamo Tbilisi’s youth system and moved to Kolkheti 1913 on a free transfer in 2025. In January, the Georgian club sent him on loan to Iberia 1999 for the rest of this year.

He has been a regular at Iberia, operating mainly as an attacking midfielder and at times in other attacking positions. Andria Bartishvili has managed two goals and two assists from 15 matches so far.

The youngster’s performances would have caught the Premier League winners and Andoni Iraola’s side.

It’s unclear whether there’s been claims of the player agreeing terms with the Gunners. Either way, Geo Team claims he hasn’t reached an agreement with the north London club yet.

The teenager is handling ‘identical offers’ from Arsenal and Liverpool. Paris FC are also keen and are trying to convince him by offering first team football. This is something the two English clubs can’t offer immediately.

These three clubs are working on securing the Georgia U21 international’s services. There’s no mention of his preference or which club is leading the trace.

Both the player and his agent will make the final decision after Iberia’s Champions League qualifiers against Estonian side Tallinna FC Flora next month. The return leg will take place on July 14th, and then Bartishvili should decide his next club.

No immediate move to the UK

If Arsenal or Liverpool were to win the battle, they won’t be able to bring the Georgian to the UK this summer because of Brexit.

Andria Bartishvili will turn 18 years of age in March 2027, meaning he won’t be able to move to England until next summer.

Whether this can give Paris FC an edge remains to be seen.
