A round-up of the latest Premier League transfer rumours - featuring news from Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle.
Once again, we’ve scoured the gossip columns and pulled together a round-up of some of the biggest (and wildest) Premier League transfer rumours which you might have missed on Monday – and we’re starting our latest digest off with a story involving Liverpool.

The Reds have been heavily linked with bids for both RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande and PSG wideman Bradley Barcola but according to a new report from TEAMtalk it isn’t a case of either-or: Citing information from Fabrizio Roimano, they claim that Liverpool are “actively pursuing” both players at the same time.

Despite already agreeing a deal for Osasuna and Spain winger Victor Muñoz, Liverpool are “preparing to spend big” and as such are “maintaining contacts” with representatives of both Diomande and Barcola. They have already had two bids for Diomande rejected, and are “discussing” an improved offer now, but Barcola will supposedly remain a target regardless of the outcome of those talks.
It’s suggested that the combined total required for both deals to be sealed would reach £200m. Diomande is “the priority” of the two, and the Reds will be “very aggressive” in the pursuit of a deal, but a bid for Barcola could follow quickly.
The 3AM Verdict: We’re not too sceptical about the idea that Liverpool still sign two more wingers on top of Muñoz, because it’s a position in need of a massive refresh and there are signs that Cody Gakpo could follow Mohamed Salah out of the club this summer. We do expect significant competition for Barcola, however, including from Arsenal, so we wouldn’t put too much money on him moving to Anfield just yet.
Chelsea have ‘intensified’ their interest in Serie A star

Over to a transfer story which has been on again and off again for months, according to the gossip columnists – Chelsea’s pursuit of AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, which Sport Witness suggests has been reignited after the Blues started “taking forward steps” in the direction of a deal.
They are said to have “intensified” discussions with Maignan’s representatives and are firmly “back in the mix” to sign him having previously missed out on the opportunity to sign him as a free agent, which disappeared when the Frenchman signed a new deal to stay at the San Siro back in January.
Despite their renewed interest, Chelsea may still find it tough to get a deal over the line – new Milan manager Ruben Amorim is apparently very keen to keep Maignan around, and there’s no word on the sort of transfer fee which might change his mind. Having missed out on Champions League qualification, however, Milan may well need to make a sale or two to balance the books.
The 3AM Verdict: We can’t see Milan being willing to sell Maignan, nor Chelsea being willing to stump up the kind of cash which might twist their arm. We suspect that the Blues will sign a new goalkeeper this summer and they’ve certainly monitored Maignan for a long time, but we doubt that they get their hands on him over the coming weeks.

Let’s wrap up with a story for the Newcastle supporters among you – have missed out on Victor Muñoz, the Magpies are casting around for an alternative, and according to TEAMtalk that search has led them to “reignite” their intertest in Real Betis and Morocco wideman Abde Ezzalzouli.
The 24-year-old was ruled out of the World Cup through injury but should be fit by the end of the summer, and it’s suggested that “fresh talks” have now taken place between Newcastle and Ezzalzouli’s entourage, weeks after they were first linked with the former Barcelona man.
Apparently Newcastle remained interested in Ezzalzouli even as they were negotiating over a deal to sign the Liverpool-bound Muñoz, and could now make a formal offer in the coming weeks – but there’s no word on the scale of the transfer fee, nor any suggestion that a bid has yet been made.
The 3AM Verdict: Newcastle’s interest in Ezzalzouli seems to be genuine, although they are also looking at a variety ofalternative targets as well – that makes it difficult to guess whether they will make an offer or turn their attention to a different player instead. But the Moroccan is certainly on Eddie Howe’s radar as the transfer window opens.
