New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart took the NFL by storm as a rookie last season.
After being selected as the 25th overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, Dart spent the first three weeks of the season behind QB1 Russell Wilson. However, it did not take long for the youngster to take the helm.
Dart made his first start in Week 4 after Wilson began the campaign with three straight losses. The former USC and Ole Miss star took over the starting quarterback role and never gave it up.
Dart finished his rookie year with 216-of-339 completed passes for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns. However, despite his strong play, New York still finished last in the NFC East with a 4-13 record.

Giants QB Jaxson Dart Expresses Gratitude After Youth Football Camp
Dart recently hosted a youth football camp in Mineola, New York. He held four camps over the weekend for kids aged 6 to 16. The Giants QB was assisted by a group of FlexWork Sports coaches in what turned out to be an unforgettable experience for the children.
The camp was also beneficial for Dart as he experienced first-hand what it’s like to be a role model to young kids. The 23-year-old is not taking this responsibility lightly.
“I think it’s still surreal, honestly,” he said. “I just think what a cool opportunity that we have as players now. And it takes a lot of responsibility at the same time, being able to handle our business, be good role models, and be good people.
“I think that’s what it’s about this day and age. I have a ton of fun out here with them, and they bring a ton of joy. So I think it’s just fun being around the kids. It’s a light felt happiness that I think I kind of miss.”
Jaxson Dart still thinks it’s “surreal” he’s a role model and idol to these kids. But it’s a big reason he does the camps. He remembers growing up and being at events like these and meeting Ty Detmer and others. Leaves an indelible mark. pic.twitter.com/Qvc53eHpr6

Dart knows full well that, as an NFL star, young kids look up to him. This means that everything he does on and off the field is scrutinized by these young minds.
This also serves as inspiration for Dart as he looks ahead to what he hopes will be another breakout year this upcoming NFL season.
