George Kittle didn’t hold back when he was asked about the ongoing situation with his teammate. The nine-year veteran tight end has become one of the leaders on the San Francisco 49ers and turned into a fan favorite.
However there is one teammate who has rubbed Kittle the wrong way. Here are the details.

George Kittle Has Words For Current Teammate
Brandon Aiyuk continued to call for the 49ers to release him by posting a video to social media recently that showed him chanting “Go Commanders! ”
When and if the 49ers release him or trade him, Washington is believed to be Aiyuk’s preferred destination. He has also posted videos critical of the 49ers during his lengthy pursuit of a new team. It is possible that Aiyuk’s status will remain in limbo for some time, unless he reports to training camp in an attempt to fully compel the 49ers to make a decision regarding his future.
Aiyuk has not played since suffering a serious knee injury during the 2024 season, and 49ers tight end George Kittle asked what Commanders should expect from him. It is clear from Kittle’s response that Aiyuk is talented, but he also hints at the challenges he faces that can undermine what he brings to a team:
“The last time I saw Aiyuk was, call it Week 6, 7, or 8. I don’t really know,” Kittle said. “I used to make it a habit of mine to go out early in the morning before meetings to watch him train because he’d always be out there early, and I watched him run over 22 miles an hour and stop on a dime.
So, he’s still got it, or at least that was a year, eight months ago, so I don’t really know. But you guys have fun with that, I guess . . . You have fun with all that comes with it.”
Kittle responded to a comment about Aiyuk potentially becoming happier once he is no longer with the team by saying that he “wouldn’t be happy either if someone paid me $130 million” referring to the extension Aiyuk signed before the 2024 season.
