Arsenal beat Manchester United to Leicester City winger

Not too long ago, Leicester City were Premier League champions, however their recent story is a very different tale.
Last season saw The Foxes get relegated from the Premier League, however after an awful Championship season, they are now headed for League One after back-to-back relegations.
As such, the club are now set to lose some of their key future prospects and talented first-team stars as top-tier clubs are circling the King Power Stadium.
Two of those are Manchester United and Arsenal, who have been eyeing up left-winger Jeremy Monga.
However, talkSPORTS has now revealed that Arsenal’s bid of £10 million has been accepted by Leicester, seeing them beat United to the signing.
Jeremy Monga set for move to Arsenal
Already The Gunners had personal terms agreed for the winger, so his move to the Emirates is now a matter of time.
There is a potential complication with his age, however, as a court tribunal may need to determine his transfer fee due to his young age of 16-years-old, however this is deemed to be unlikely.
Now, Arsenal have beaten a long-list of teams to signing Jeremy Monga, with elite clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and AS Roma, with the interest easy to understand.
Monga made his Premier League debut against Newcastle in April 2025 at 15 years and 271 days, the competition’s second-youngest player at the time behind Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri.
Then, a strike against Preston North End last August made him the youngest scorer in Championship history.
Seven top-flight appearances were followed by a goal and two assists in 27 second-tier games this season, seeing the England Under-19 international’s reputation grow despite Leicester’s slide.
Unfortunately for United it marks another talented youngster they have missed out on, however with the wealth of academy talent coming through, it shouldn’t make a massive impact.
