“Being in this hall of fame for this organization representing this city is … I couldn't write a better story. It's perfect for me. It's perfect for my family. This is everything for me.”
Armstead's selection to the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame comes after a career that established him as one of the franchise's premier offensive linemen. Drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Armstead spent nine seasons protecting the blind side in New Orleans. He started 93 games during his tenure with the Saints and added nine postseason starts, earning three consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2018 through 2020 and First-Team All-Pro recognition in 2018.
Armstead became a cornerstone of some of the most productive offenses in franchise history. His emergence as the team's starting left tackle helped stabilize the offensive line and contributed to the success of quarterback Drew Brees and a rushing attack featuring Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara, and Latavius Murray. Following his time in New Orleans, Armstead spent three seasons with the Miami Dolphins, earning another Pro Bowl nod before announcing his retirement in 2025.
Beyond his accomplishments on the field, Armstead was a respected leader within the organization. He served as a team captain from 2018 to 2021 and was the Saints' nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2019. His contributions to the community through charitable work and the Terron Armstead Foundation, along with honors such as the Ed Block Courage Award, further solidified his legacy both on and off the field.
