Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes as the club steps up its efforts to complete one of the Premier League’s most high-profile transfers of the summer.
The Portugal international has emerged as a priority target for United manager Michael Carrick, who is keen to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season.
