Premier League 26/27 – Manchester City

The 2026/27 Premier League campaign is right around the corner. Arsenal are aiming to defend their title, with Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all trying to take it.

Newly promoted Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City are all desperate to survive, whilst Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United will all be aiming to have a bit more distance between themselves and the bottom three this season.

For AFC Bournemouth, it’s a season like no other. Andoni Iraola has left the Cherries and taken over at Liverpool, whilst Marco Rose is entering his first season in English management, bringing his experience of European football to the south coast.

For the first time in 127 years of football, the Cherries will enjoy a European campaign, entering the UEFA Europa League. That draw will take place in August, so first up, plan your calendars around the domestic campaign.

Eli Junior Kroupi scored a stunner to give the Cherries the lead, whilst Erling Haaland scored in the fifth minute of stoppage time to bring the scores level.

A 1-1 draw saw AFC Bournemouth mathematically secure European football for the first time in the club’s 127-year history.

It also ended Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes, handing Arsenal the title for the first time in over 20 years.

Other than Manchester City supporters, everyone in world football is probably hoping that a decade of unrest will follow similar to what has been seen at City neighbours Manchester United.

Unfortunately, that seems unlikely, and a few clever signings will likely see them challenge for the title in 2027.
