How is Yasin Ayari faring?
Ayari has started both of his nation’s group-stage games thus far and returned a brace in their opening 5-1 win over Tunisia, playing the full 90 minutes of the dominant victory.
He subsequently featured for 79 minutes in Sweden’s 5-1 thumping at the hands of the Netherlands, being withdrawn just four minutes after he was shown a yellow card.
Graham Potter’s side aren’t in action again until this Friday against Japan, where Ayari will be desperate to add to his account and continue impressing his suitors on football’s biggest stage.

United targeting Ayari and Carlos Baleba
It remains to be seen if INEOS will decide to materialise their interest following the conclusion of the tournament.

Ayari’s Premier League record last term
If they did, there is a chance they would look to complete some kind of double deal – like United have been tipped to do for Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes – for both Ayari and longstanding target, Carlos Baleba.
Baleba green-lit a move to Old Trafford last summer before his exit was blocked by the Seagulls, who were adamant about keeping him for at least one more season.
United do still have the Cameroonian, 22, on their shortlist this time around, but he does currently fall behind West Ham’s Fernandes due to his inconsistent form throughout 2025/2026.
