David Moyes has given an insight into what type of player Hull City could expect, should they be able to strike a deal for talented midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
The 22-year-old is high on a list of targets for the Tigers following their promotion to the Premier League, and it's understood the former Aston Villa and West Brom youngster could be allowed to move away from Everton this summer.
Heading into the final 12 months of his contract, the Toffees are thought to want in the region of £20m to secure his signature, but whether that's realistic or not remains to be seen.
City, though, believe they have a strong chance of striking a deal for the former England youngster, and should they do so, Moyes' verdict offers a glimpse of what the newly promoted Tigers can expect.
Iroegbunam played 29 times in the Premier League for the Blues, even winning the Man of the Match crown in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City.
A dynamic, physical defensive midfielder with the ability to carry the ball, Iroegbunam forged himself a positive reputation amongst fans on Merseyside for his performances, and his profile would tick the boxes of what City are looking for this summer.

“I think Tim's improved, he's come along, there's other parts of his game we want to improve but I think that he's helped us with his type - he’s quick around the pitch, very aggressive when he needs to be. He's another great boy to have in character-wise, great character, so we're happy to have him," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo.
“We want improvement from him. He's having to challenge the likes of Gana [Gueye] and Jimmy [Garner] and the midfield players in there to get the position. He's also probably been in a situation where he got games when we didn't have as much, when Gana was away at AFCON and we weren't quite at our best around that period with a few too many injuries. Tim as well had a couple injuries, but he's certainly getting through much better now than he first was. So we hope he can step up.”
When asked what the future could hold for a player who arrived in a reported £9m deal from Villa Park in 2024, Moyes suggested the Birmingham-born ace could leave this summer.
“I think he's an interesting young player. It could go either way for him, if he doesn't get enough time then we need to look at it differently, but at the moment I like what I'm seeing from him.”
