New voice of the Bucs Tony Castricone.
Gene Deckerhoff’s replacement is now on board.
The Bucs selected University of Washington football and basketball play-by-play man Tony Castricone to replace the retired Deckethoff.
Castricone also was previously the voice of Clemson.
It appears per the release Castricone won’t be flying ridiculous times commuting from Huskies games to Bucs games. Castricone will also work with the Bucs video production team and make public appearances as Castricone will move to Florida.
Joe had heard through a very reliable national media source the position came down to current Bucs sideline reporter T.J.Rives and Castricone. In the past, Rives called a few Bucs games when Deckerhoff wasn’t available and did a really good job on short notice, which is not easy.
Joe’s honestly surprised Rives did not get the job. He’s been a loyal soldier for decades.
