Borussia Dortmund’s rising star Felix Nmecha is particularly interesting to Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United thanks to his homegrown status.
That’s what Sport BILD report today, as they cover the 25-year-old and the growing interest in him as he impresses at the World Cup with Germany.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United enquiries
The newspaper explains that Felix Nmech has a growing list of admirers thanks to his performances at Dortmund. He’s been described as a ‘leader, key play, linchpin’ and plenty of other ways at the German club.
He’s a pivotal player for the Bundesliga side and, has been growing for Germany too. That’s not gone unnoticed around Europe. According to SportBILD, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all made enquiries.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also have him in their sights. In fact, Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl has even contacted the player’s camp to discuss him. He’s just on their radar for now.

According to the newspaper, the English trio are particularly interested thanks to Nmecha’s homegrown status.
Premier League rules state that at least eight players in the 25-man squad must be ‘home-grown’ players. Any player who has been trained by a club in the UK for at least three years before their 21st birthday qualifies. Nmecha’s time spent in Manchester City’s youth side means he qualifies.
That makes him more interesting for Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United this summer. Although, they will have to spend big if they want Felix Nmecha.
Dortmund don’t want to sell him but would have to consider any offers worth more than €100m. Sport Witness covered a report that they wanted at least €120m. They essentially need a big sale every couple of years and Nmecha could provide that this year.
Whether any of the Premier League trio are willing to spend that, remains to be seen. But his homegrown status has made him particularly interesting for his suitors in England, nonetheless.
