Robert Kraft Has Reportedly Told NFL He's Interested In Having Patriots Play In Scotland

Boston has seen the Tartan Army take over the streets during the World Cup and embrace the city, and now Robert Kraft wants to take the Patriots to Scotland.

With Scotland's Soccer team playing World Cup Games in Gillette Stadium, called Boston Stadium for the tournament, the Tartan Army has gotten familiar with the area. The fans' enjoyment of Boston has become a unique story of the World Cup, and Kraft has reportedly informed NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that he is interested in having the Patriots play in the first NFL Game in Scotland.

"On the heels of the Tartan Army’s takeover in Boston, Patriots owner Robert Kraft has made it known to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that the Patriots would be interested in playing a game in Scotland," wrote the Boston Globe's Nicole Yang.

The Tartan Army has already made itself familiar with Boston's sports culture. Plenty of visitors made their way to Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Sox play, and their presence was clearly felt. It could be a great opportunity for the Patriots to play in Scotland in front of fans who have fallen in love with their city.

The NFL has been trying to play more and more international games, adding Australia and France to the list of international venues this year. Scotland has never hosted an NFL Game.

The Patriots are going to Germany next season to face the Detroit Lions in Week 10. Could they be headed to Scotland in 2027?
