Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Tuesday, June 23.
Swans and Blackburn chasing Chelsea starlet
Swansea City are among several sides monitoring Chelsea youngster Kiano Dyer.
According to TeamTalk, the Swans are joined by Blackburn Rovers and several other Championship sides in looking at the 19-year-old, who's viewed as one of Chelsea's most exciting young midfielders.
After joining from West Bromwich Albion, Dyer has steadily progressed through the ranks, and recently signed a new contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2030.
Dyer made his senior debut in the UEFA Conference League tie against Astana in December 2024, and has also represented England at youth level up to Under-20s.
He was briefly shipped out to Eredivisie side FC Volendam, but made just four appearances for the club before being sent back in January.
First-team minutes are likely to be even harder to come by at Chelsea this season, meaning another loan spell away could well be on the cards.
Striker joins Inverness
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed young Swans striker Morgan Bates on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old signed a scholarship with the Swans back in September 2024, having joined from Briton Ferry Llansawel.
A tally of 22 goals across Swansea’s under-18 and under-21 sides during the 2024-25 season saw him earn a new contract with the club.
Last season, he also finished as top scorer at under-21s level by netting 23 goals.
Speaking about his move, he said: “It’s amazing. This move has been on my mind for a while. When my agent told me about the opportunity, I immediately felt this was the club I wanted to join.
“It was my goal to gain first team experience this season, and the attraction of coming here was the way the team plays, the club itself, and the area. Everything has come together really well.”
Cardiff swoop for Swans recruitment expert
Cardiff City have moved to make Dominic Newton their new senior technical scout.
Newton recently confirmed his departure from Swansea City, having served in a series of recruitment and analysis positions before becoming recruitment operations and analysis lead.
His exit brings the curtain down on a three-and-a-half-year spell with the Swans.
In a farewell statement, Newton suggested he had been central to identifying much of the talent currently in the club's first-team squad.
"I have made the difficult decision to leave Swansea City after three-and-a-half years at the club," he wrote.
"I am immensely proud to look back on what we have achieved as a department in this time, having played a key role in identifying the majority of the talent in the squad that have not only been awarded both fans' and players' players of the season but also the EFL Championship Team of the Season, along with the EFL Championship Golden Boot winner.
"I truly believe the foundations we have set as a department have left the club in a much better place to achieve success in the future."
