Despite the fact that America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3 only just hit Netflix, fans are already eager to know if members of the squad will return for a fourth season.
The docuseries follows veterans and rookies alike as they compete for a coveted spot on what is arguably the world's most famous cheerleading squad. Once the team is chosen, the show follows the women through the highs and lows of the NFL season.
Members of DCC began to rise to prominence following the premiere of season 1 back in June 2024. Season 3, however, marked the first time that some newcomers auditioned specifically because they watched America's Sweethearts. The squad subsequently adjusted to their newfound fame throughout season 3. Some were even able to quit their day jobs and become influencers.
"So many emotions but the biggest will always be grateful," veteran Charly Barby wrote on Instagram following the premiere of season 3. "Easily the best year of my life!"

Who could return for America's Sweethearts season 4?
Given the nature of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' audition process, it's not yet possible to know who would star in the next season of America's Sweethearts. Should the series be renewed, fans can reasonably expect the return of DCC director Kelly Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell. Vets who could potentially return include Madie Krueger, Charly Barby and Abby Summers.
Fan favorite Reece Weaver will not be continuing with DCC, however. The Florida native announced her retirement at the end of season 3.
"I'm really excited about it, but it's been hard to make that decision," Weaver told Finglass and Trammell in the final episode of season 3. "But I'm emotional because of how grateful I am, truly."

Season 3 of America's Sweethearts marked a turning point for DCC; for the first time, some newcomers auditioned for the squad specifically because they watched the docuseries on Netflix.
"The world of DCC is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to stories to be told,” director Greg Whiteley told Tudum in June 2026. “I’m grateful our crew has another season to keep telling them.”
Throughout the season, the cheerleaders grappled with their newfound fame while adhering to a strict set of rules that have been in place since the 1970s. Newcomer Faith Ward — who traveled all the way from Perth, Australia, to audition — also made headlines in season 3 when she broke tradition by wearing her hair up instead of down. The New Zealand native later explained that Finglass asked her to try a ponytail hairstyle and "really liked the way it danced" during rehearsals.
Where can I watch America's Sweethearts?
