Tottenham Hotspur have selected Marcus Rashford as their priority transfer after completing a couple of transfer deals. Spurs are preparing themselves to submit an official offer for the Manchester United winger. But there may be some problems to complete a deal. Last season, he was on a season-long loan at Barcelona.
Man United’s Marcus Rashford is Spurs’ next big target
As reported by The i Paper, conversations have taken place behind the scenes to understand Rashford’s situation. Tottenham are planning to launch an official bid for the Man United forward. They have made him the next important target and want to bring him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Manchester United and Marcus Rashford have an agreement upon a €46m release clause. But Tottenham are not interested to match that price and take the English forward. They are checking whether Red Devils want to negotiate or not. Then Spurs would try to strike a deal at a much lower price. They will submit a bid that is much lower than the €46m valuation.

Rashford’s desire may contradict current market’s situation
As reported by Goal, the 28-year-old wishes to join a foreign club. His primary desire is to join Barcelona. He spent the last season with the Spanish giants on loan. Bayern Munich are also keeping their eyes on the Englishman’s situation and will try to bring him into the squad for the next season.
Rashford would also like to remain at United this season and reshape his career at his childhood club. The Red Devils academy graduate is not looking to join any Premier League rival club. This may hinder Tottenham’s pursuit of Marcus Rashford.
But Manchester United aim to offload the forward on a permanent basis to make some space in their salary books. The Red Devils pay him a massive amount of wages per week. So, Rashford may have to rethink his wish to carry on at United. The club will not entertain any loan offer for him. This happened after La Liga champions, Barcelona refused to trigger the 28-year-old’s €30m buy option in his loan deal to permanently sign him.
