Liverpool are up and running in the summer transfer window after confirming the signing of Spanish winger Victor Munoz last week.
The arrival of the former Osasuna man came as a surprise, with the Reds hijacking Newcastle United’s move to secure his signature in a deal worth £35million.
With the left side of Andoni Iraola’s attack potentially addressed, Liverpool are now expected to strengthen on the right flank.
The Reds remain interested in Ivory Coast international Yan Diomande and are stepping up their pursuit of the RB Leipzig winger.
The Bundesliga side are keen to tie the 19-year-old down to a new contract, but Diomande has hinted that he would be open to a move following an impressive debut season in Germany.
Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, Cologne’s Said El Mala and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo are also among the players being monitored, while West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville is not expected to move to Anfield this summer.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have held an interest in Summerville earlier this year, but have since moved on to other targets despite the Dutch winger continuing to attract attention following West Ham’s relegation.
The former Leeds United man is widely tipped to depart the London Stadium in the coming months, with a £50million valuation frequently mentioned.
However, his stock is rising after impressive international performances for the Netherlands, including goals against Sweden and Japan, taking his tally to two goals and one assist in his opening matches.
Summerville could add to that tally when Ronald Koeman’s side face Tunisia next, with the opposition having already suffered heavy defeats in the group.
With no buyout clause in his contract, West Ham are in a strong negotiating position and can demand a fee of their choosing.
Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly monitoring the 24-year-old, and could move for a new left-sided attacker amid uncertainty over Bradley Barcola’s future. Summerville finished the last Premier League season with five goals and four assists in 31 appearances for West Ham.
