Ruben Amorim has continued reshaping his AC Milan squad.
He has officially completed a signing from England.
The latest move is likely to spark discussions among Manchester United supporters, particularly given the number of players with Old Trafford connections who have already been linked with the Italian giants since Amorim’s arrival.
Recent reports suggested that Manuel Ugarte had been offered to AC Milan as the Serie A side assess options to strengthen several areas of the squad this summer.
Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot caught the attention of supporters.
This was after the Portuguese defender reacted with a like on Instagram to the post announcing Amorim’s appointment at the San Siro.
Ruben Amorim himself was only officially appointed as AC Milan manager earlier this month.
The 41-year-old was sacked by Manchester United in January after a difficult 14-month spell in charge at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese coach has already overseen one arrival since taking charge and has now moves to complete his second signing.
AC Milan secure Aurelien Guernier
According to an official statement published on AC Milan’s website, the club have completed the signing of highly-rated forward Aurelien Guernier.
The 18-year-old joins the Rossoneri after leaving Birmingham City.
He will initially become part of the club’s ‘Milan Futro’ project, which is focused on the development of young players.
Born in 2007, Guernier is regarded as one of the brightest young talents to emerge from Birmingham’s academy in recent years.
AC Milan confirmed that the young forward has committed his future to the club after completing his move to Italy.
The signing represents another indication that Ruben Amorim and Milan are determined to invest heavily in youth development alongside strengthening the squad.
Earlier this month, we covered how Amorim completed his first signing as AC Milan manager.
The return of Francesco Camarda demonstrated that the former United boss wated little time putting his stamp on the club.
Supporters will now be eager to see whether Guernier can progress through the ‘Milan Futro’ system and eventually break into the first team.
