One of the biggest things that the New York Giants will need to figure out this off-season is who will be the starting kicker in week one. At one point this off-season, the Giants had three different kickers on the roster. New York now only has two kickers on the roster.

Training camp will be a big battle for the kicking job. They did have Jason Sanders on the roster, but Dominic Zavada and Ben Sauls are competing for the starting kicker job. It will be interesting to see how this is going to play out. Head coach John Harbaugh, general manager Joe Schoen, and Giants fans are hoping that there isn’t special teams woes this season.
NFL Insider Hints at Dominic Zvada Winning the New York Giants Kicking Job

Jordan Raanan of espn.com wrote about one player who has been surprising during the off-season programs. He thinks that Zvada has been a major surprise. Raanan thinks that he is also the frontrunner to win the Giants kicking job. He said,
“Zvada, an undrafted free agent, went into this spring basically as the No. 3 kicker. Veteran Jason Sanders was considered the favorite this season. But before the spring was even over, Sanders was cut and Zvada became the front-runner ahead of Ben Sauls. It probably helped that the media didn’t see Zvada miss this spring as he went 13-for-13 on field goal attempts at minicamp.”
Zvada last season played for the Michigan Wolverines in college. It would be impressive for an undrafted rookie to win the starting kicking job for the Giants. He is 6’3″ and weighs 187 lbs also.
