On to '26: Brown Working on "Everything"

Brown fit well into Campanile's scheme last season. He started 12 games and had a team-leading 12 passes defensed with two interceptions. He also added 47 tackles (39 solo), the most among Jaguars cornerbacks in 2025.

> "It feels great just to have a system you have been in for a year and not restarting," Brown said. "We can kind of progress and take it up another step."

Brown is set to play a critical role for the Jaguars' defense once again after signing a three-year extension in March. He has gone from being the young gun in the cornerback room to one of its veteran leaders along with veteran cornerback [Jourdan Lewis](/team/players-roster/jourdan-lewis/) – a role he has been happy to embrace.

> "It's kind of crazy," Brown said. "Time goes by fast, but you have to lead by example and just set the tone for those guys and let them know how it's done, and learn how to practice."

Brown has been a part of two playoff teams with the Jaguars, serving as a special teamer for most of the 2022 season before developing into a key piece of the defense for last year's AFC South championship team. He has seen the highs and the lows of the NFL during that time, and he knows what makes up winning teams.

To him, it is clear the 2026 Jaguars have what it takes to replicate their past success.

> "We're not going to back down for anybody, no matter who it is," Brown said. "We are going to compete with anybody from start to finish. We got some dogs on the field, and man, I'm ready to see everybody play this year."
