Leicester City and Arsenal are in club-to-club contact over a deal for Jeremy Monga which could see the 16-year-old become the most expensive League One departure.
Monga has been the subject of interest from the English champions since the start of the month. The Gunners are understood to have had an opening bid rejected last week.
It has previously been reported that discussions of a £10m-£15m move had been held. Any deal is likely to be put on hold until after July 10, when Monga turns 17 and his first professional contract at the King Power Stadium will become active.

LeicestershireLive understands that the two clubs are now in talks to reach an agreement. The Athletic first reported that the deal has advanced to direct negotiations with Monga preferring to move to the Emirates Stadium over the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle.
Unlike Trey Nyoni's move to Liverpool and Tyrese Noubissie's switch to Manchester City, City are due to receive a deserved fee for the talented winger. It's understood that Monga's one-year scholarship signed last summer has proven significant in the club receiving a fair amount.

Monga was a first-team regular in the Championship last season, scoring one goal. Whilst there is no clear indication of how much Leicester will receive for the academy prospect, who signed for City when he was eight, he is likely to become the most expensive exit in the third-tier.

Mark McGuinness' transfer from Luton Town to Sheffield United was in the region of £10m last summer, with Fabian Delph to Aston Villa in 2009 (£8m) and Ademola Lookman to Everton (£7.5m) making up the top three.
