Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Fred Johnson is now a father, weeks after his then-girlfriend went viral on social media with allegations that he had kicked her out of their home while she was eight months pregnant.

Online influencer Lyss Okada announced the birth of their daughter on Sunday with an Instagram post showing her holding the newborn. "Akira Jade," read the caption alongside a series of photographs.

She followed with a TikTok video in which she addressed the camera directly. "The minute I met my daughter — I can't even believe I'm even saying the words, 'my daughter' — I was so in love with her, and she's just perfect." Meanwhile, an Eagles draft star was spotted on the practice sideline with a concerning garment.

The joy of the announcement stood in contrast to what Okada had shared publicly in early May, when a series of TikTok videos detailing her version of the couple's breakup went viral.

In one, she described a hypothetical situation that her followers quickly understood as a direct reference to Johnson.

"Hypothetically, if a man were to kick out his eight-month pregnant girlfriend and unborn daughter and be on Hinge the very next day looking for women to have fun with, hypothetically you would not think that man is a good man or good father," she said. "You would not think that man would have any form of decency, integrity or have morals."

Johnson, 28, responded at the time with a brief and cryptic Instagram message that did not directly address Okada's specific allegations. "God ain't bring me this far just to leave me," he wrote. "This too shall pass. I love you all." He has not made any further public statement on the matter.

Okada subsequently faced a wave of public criticism for speaking out, which she addressed in a follow-up video.

"I just truly think it's time people stop blaming women for the partners they choose, and start blaming partners for pretending to be something that they are not," she said. "No woman ever knowingly goes into a situation thinking this person is going to hurt me, this person is going to lie to me, this person is going to be a completely different person to the one he is showing me."

The couple had documented their relationship publicly since at least September 2025, when Okada posted photographs from an Eagles game. They announced the pregnancy in December 2025 with a joint social media post and revealed they were expecting a girl in January via a gender reveal video.

Johnson is one of Philadelphia's most reliable backup linemen, having proven his value during the 2024 season when he stepped in for All-Pro starters Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata during a third-quarter exit against the Saints, helping clear the path for two fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns from Saquon Barkley.

He won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in February 2025 when Philadelphia defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. He re-signed with the club on a one-year deal in March.

Johnson has not publicly commented on the birth.
