Micah Parsons’ brother reveals return timeline publicly
Parsons is expected to miss the beginning of the 2026 NFL season as he continues rehabilitation from ACL surgery. The player suffered a torn ACL in mid-December 2025 during a Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos. He had to undergo surgery for the injury on December 29, 2025, which included a meniscus repair.

Recently, his brother Terrence Parsons Jr. publicly addressed the recovery timeline for his brother’s injury. In a viral social media post, he implied that his brother’s return to the field could be delayed. He shared a report of the star’s recovery timeline that suggested Parsons could miss half of the season, and wrote, “They weren’t tryna listen.”
He also emphasized in another post that Micah would require at least three weeks of practice before playing in games, otherwise he could be at risk of being injured once more. He also commented that his return could be in October. Currently, it is expected that he will be back for a return around Week 8.
However, Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson felt that he was wrong for revealing this information so fast and publicly. On their Nightcap podcast, the two said that it was unusual for a family member to reveal this crucial information publicly.

Both Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about how Parson’s brother should not have released this information, and that it jeopardizes the Packers’ season. Ochocinco asked, “Why can’t they do this? while using his fingers to signal keeping their lips shut.
Sharpe said, “You got one job. Be michael parson’s little brother, or big brother. That’s the only job you got right. That’s his only job. If the Packers want to release that information, which they’re not, you know teams don’t release any damn thing.”
He added, “I’m sure you love your brother. Your brother loves you. But some things should remain between you and your brother. The general public should not know this information. You know he we had a good idea that he’s probably going to start on the PUB (Physically Unable to Perform).”
Regardless of his expected or rumored return timeline, Micah Parsons will be working hard to ensure he can return as fast as possible.
