The Dallas Cowboys wrapped up mandatory minicamp June 16–18, 2026, and since then, America’s Team has been on summer break. With training camp scheduled to kick off on July 28 in Oxnard, California, quarterback Dak Prescott has been scattered across the country enjoying downtime before the grind begins again.
For most of the offseason, his personal life has generated more headlines than his preparation for the upcoming 2026 season because his wedding in April with ex-fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos was chaotically called off in March before it ever happened.

Fast forward to this Father’s Day weekend, which gave the four-time Pro Bowl signal-caller a reason to travel to Miami to celebrate teammate Jake Ferguson’s wedding, and the heartwarming viral photos of Prescott seamlessly co-parenting with Ramos on the trip have since turned viral online.
Dak Prescott jets off to teammate’s wedding as groomsman on Father’s Day weekend
Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr. first shared the news on X, reporting that Prescott had been spotted in Miami.
“For those wondering where Cowboys QB Dak Prescott jetted off to on Father’s Day weekend,” Hill wrote. “He was a groomsman in Jake Ferguson’s wedding along with tight end Brevyn Spann Ford.”

Ferguson and social media influencer Haley Cavinder got married on Saturday on the beach at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami. Former Cowboys quarterback Will Grier, who spent time in Dallas before signing with Carolina, officiated the ceremony.
The 27-year-old later posted wedding photos to Instagram, showing Prescott standing front and center with the groomsmen. He reportedly kept his wedding kid-free so his teammates could relax without distractions.
Ferguson finished the 2025 season with 82 receptions, second on the team behind wide receiver George Pickens. His production remained steady despite Prescott missing time with an injury. The Cowboys had previously locked Ferguson in with a four-year, $52 million contract extension during training camp in July 2025.
For Prescott, the timing comes right after his own wedding plans fell apart. He and Ramos canceled their April ceremony following a joint bachelor-bachelorette trip to the Bahamas.
While representatives stated the split was mutual, reports at the time referred to an argument over relationship issues. Despite the heartbreaking breakup, both say they remain fully committed to co-parenting their two daughters.
Dallas opens the 2026 regular season on September 13 on the road against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. But for one Father’s Day weekend, all of that could wait.
