Cowboys CB Shavon Revel Jr. Has High Expectations For Himself In The NFL
Revel aims to become the best cornerback in the NFL despite the slow start to his pro career. He expresses complete trust in his skill set and work ethic to achieve his goal.
“I am going to be, someday, the best cornerback in the league,”Revel said, via Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Nick Harris. “That’s just how I look at it, and I have the confidence to say it. At the end of the day, I got to work.”
The North Carolina native added that he was still able to record decent numbers in 2025 despite not being back to 100%.
“I did not feel like myself,” Revel said. “I just had that heart and grit to go out there. If I can still run, I’m going to go play. It’s all about what you can put in for the team. One thing my dad taught me, if you go out there and play, go out there and play. That’s my opportunity to showcase something.”
The Cowboys missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year in 2025, finishing with a 7-9-1 record. However, with veteran additions via trades, free agency and the draft, along with a healthy Revel, they have astrong chance of ending their postseason drought.
