“Do Your Job” Video Of Geno Smith Berating Police Officer Goes Viral (Watch)

Geno Smith, who is supposed to be the face of the New York Jets franchise, has seen his personal life flipped upside down over the last 24-hours or so. His ex-girlfriend calling the police to his residence led to her making disturbing accusations against him. Those accusations were largely associated with Domestic Violence.

However, a separate video of a prior incident has emerged and shows the veteran NFL quarterback berating a police officer.

Geno Smith’s Interaction With Police Released On Body Cam

Several months before the Davie Police Department formally investigated him for battery, Geno Smith had a disappointing encounter with the police department.

A Davie Police officer pulled over the Jets quarterback on March 18 in Davie, Fla. after he was allegedly driving a Rolls Royce with improper tags. According to the body camera footage obtained by The California Post on Tuesday, Smith was not pleased with the fact that he had been stopped.

Clearly agitated, the two-time Pro Bowler questioned repeatedly why he had been detained.

In response to the officer’s explanation that Smith’s car’s license plate belonged to a Lamborghini and not a Rolls Royce, Smith was adamant he only made a mistake.

“I’ve got a lot of cars, fam,” Smith said. “I probably switched the tag on the cars.”

Even after the policeman explained Smith’s offense was “unassigned tag to the vehicle,” Smith kept demanding to know why the cop stopped him.

“But I’m saying, why’d you read my tag?” Smith said. “You just wanted to? It’s a nice car and you just wanted to?”

“No, no, no,” the cop replied. “You read anybody’s tag. That’s my job. That’s my job, sir.”

Smith then told him to “do your job better.”

A cop issued Smith two citations before letting him go – one for attaching a tag (license plate) that had not been assigned, and another for failing to carry/exhibit his driver’s license.

According to court records, Smith resolved the matter last month.

Smith re-met with the Davie Police Department on Sunday after a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend called 911 and said he “beat me up” outside his residence.

On Monday, Davie PD officials told The Post that cops arrived at Smith’s home around 4:40 pm to investigate the claims, but no arrests were made. However, it has since been made clear that the investigation is still underway.
