Leeds United could be set to go head-to-head with Manchester United for not one – but two – transfer deals.
The Reds’ interest in Leeds ’ goalkeeper Karl Darlow is well-publicised, with the goalkeeper’s Elland Road contract set to expire next week.
Darlow is in talks to stay but their bitter rivals are said to be increasingly confident of adding the 35-year-old to their goalkeeping department.
However, the Wales international might not be the only point of contention this summer, following reports the Old Trafford outfit could also be interested in Shea Charles.
The Whites tabled a £20million offer for the Southampton midfielder, only to see it knocked back ahead of what is likely to be another offer for the 22-year-old.

But Man Utd have now also been credited with an interest in a player who left Manchester City to join the Saints in 2023.
Charles has spent the last three seasons in the Championship but is now ready to make the step back to the Premier League having been denied that opportunity due to Southampton’s Spygate controversy.
Talks between Leeds and Southampton are ongoing but United, who are desperate to revamp their midfield in the wake of Casemiro’s exit and the likely sale of Manuel Ugarte, are said to have him on their radar.
Indeed it was their director of football, Jason Wilcox, who took Charles to St Mary’s during his time there. Man Utd have also been linked with Elliot Anderson, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes – and already signed Ederson from Atalanta.
