Colts WR Alec Pierce visits kids at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Alec Pierce made a stop in Evansville on Tuesday, as he spent the day at Ascension St. Vincent.

Pierce is fresh off signing his contract extension with the Colts just this Spring and he spent time on Tuesday meeting some of the pediatric patients and their families.

He says moments like today are worth cherishing.

Pierce says, “Just kinda being able to see the kids and how special and important it is for them really kinda puts things into perspective, because I remember being at that age and if I would’ve ever met someone, I grew up in kinda the Chicago area, somebody from like the Bulls or the Cubs - something like that - I probably would have lost my mind a little bit. So, it’s pretty special and cool to see how you can be a role model for someone and carry yourself that way.”

The Colts and Ascension St. Vincent have an ongoing, long-term healthcare partnership.

Pierce’s visit highlights the organizations’ commitment to improving the health and well-being of Hoosiers across the state.

In 2024, Ascension St. Vincent and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital became the Official Healthcare Partners of the Indianapolis Colts. This partnership extends far beyond the football field, focusing on community wellness, youth health through initiatives like the “Ascension St. Vincent Play 60 Field,” and providing hope to patients during difficult times.
