Andoni Iraola's hectic summer at Liverpool appears far from over. The Spanish manager has been in post for three weeks since his appointment and has already wrapped up his first signing in Victor Munoz.

The Spain international bolsters the Reds' attacking options, with additional signings being pursued in the forward positions. The Premier League club are expected to experience another substantial period of change, with the exits of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate already altering the makeup of Iraola's squad - and the new manager wants to assess his team after the World Cup before making too many decisions.

Regarding incomings, the latest twist in the Bradley Barcola transfer saga has emerged, while a transfer agreement with another Reds target has allegedly been finalised. We look at the most recent developments surrounding Anfield.

Barcola update

Barcola's future appears set to be one of the summer's key narratives, as contract talks with Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly deadlocked. The France international remains contracted to the club until 2028, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Nevertheless, the stalemate over a new deal has sparked reports that the Champions League winners might be prepared to authorise his exit. According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger has drawn interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Liverpool have had their eye on Barcola since last year. The Reds currently have three left-wingers on their books in Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and new signing Victor Munoz, with a potential swoop for Barcola set to bring that number to four.

Any such deal for the 23 year old would take place alongside the acquisition of Yan Diomande, rather than just one player arriving at the club, it is claimed.

Diomande agreement

Earmarked as the long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have made clear to RB Leipzig their intention to table a bid of up to £86million for the Ivory Coast star. However, the Bundesliga club are understood to be holding out for a fee closer to £112m.

Leipzig may find themselves in a difficult position as they attempt to tie the 19 year old down to a new contract, following reports that the Reds have agreed personal terms with Diomande.

According to Media Foot, the winger is prepared to move to Anfield this summer, with PSG having pulled out of the race owing to his considerable asking price.
