€100m speedster"tempted"to join Liverpool after 2025 transfer collapsed

PSG and Bradley Barcola are at an impasse in contract renewal talks and Liverpool are reportedly one of the teams to watch in this transfer story.

The 23-year-old is not playing as much football in Paris as he would like, and frankly, as much as his talent deserves. That said, it’s understandable why PSG boss Luis Enrique has a selection headache, with Ousmane Dembele, Desiree Doue, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Barcola to choose from each week.

One of them must always sit on the bench, so it’s an impossible task.

Barcola has refused to sign a new deal unless guarantees on game time are given, but PSG cannot commit to this, given the importance of Kvaratskhelia, in particular, and so it’s quite possible Barcola leaves this summer.

Liverpool want to sign both Yan Diomane and Barcola, although it’s going to cost a lot of money to get both deals over the line.

French media says Liverpool are back in for Barcola and the player is keen on moving to Anfield

On Sunday, Fabrizio Romano reported that Liverpool must beat Arsenal to Barcola’s signing, saying: “PSG and Barcola are not advancing on any deal, and that is why his situation remains one to watch in this summer transfer window, according to my information. Let’s see what happens with Liverpool, with Arsenal, and eventually with more clubs.”

Now, French outlet Le10Sport says that Liverpool have revived their interest in Barcola after trying to sign him in 2025, adding that the player would love to join the Reds.

The report reads: “Bradley Barcola could leave PSG during this summer transfer window. Despite failing to sign him last summer, Liverpool have renewed their efforts to recruit Luis Enrique’s number 29. While Bradley Barcola is thrilled by the prospect of joining the Reds, should PSG let him go? If so, who should they sign to replace him?”

PSG have a major issue on their hands. While they cannot promise Barcola that he will start over Kvaratskhelia, they also cannot afford to let such a talented player leave. The 23-year-old is on course to become a superstar if it’s not fair to say he already is one.

Le10Sport’s report continued: “Liverpool has decided to try again to signBradleyBarcola , despite their failed attempt a year ago. With theReds returning their efforts, the 23-year-old striker might be persuaded this time.

“Indeed,BradleyBarcola is interested inLiverpool ‘s project and is excited by the prospect of playing in thePremierLeague . For its part,PSG is listening and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of negotiating a transfer if their star player requests a move. Moreover, the club chaired byNasser Al-Khelaïfi reportedly already has several options to fill the void thatBradleyBarcola could leave at theParc des Princes next season.”

There’s a misunderstanding of pace with wingers. Bradley Barcola can outrun anyone over big distances, but his superpower is his ability to generate a burst from a standing start when facing up 1v1. No one at #Arsenal has that unstoppable combination. pic.twitter.com/7y2lqOXKVs

Not only are Liverpool interested, but Barcola is “tempted by a move to Liverpool”

Liverpool’s interest in Barcola is well-documented. They tried to sign him in 2025, and reports have linked the Reds with the French international for several months now.

What was unclear until this week was whether or not he would want to leave Paris. Now, it’s beginning to look like the player understands that in order to take the next step in his career, he needs to leave PSG to play the number of minutes he wants to play.

Le10Sport reports: “Barcola is tempted by a move to Liverpool. In recent weeks, several strikers have been linked withPSG , with Bradley Barcola’s departure in mind. These includeYan Diomandé (RB Leipzig, Ivory Coast),Crysencio Summerville (West Ham United, Netherlands),Julian Alvarez (Atlético Madrid, Argentina),Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa, England),Maghnes Akliouche (Monaco, France), andFerran Torres (Barcelona, ??Spain).

“Meanwhile, journalistAlex Rodriguez Sanchez has revealed that a swap deal involvingBradley Barcola andJules Koundé (Barcelona, ??France) is possible. Furthermore,PSG are reportedly impressed byMichaelOlise , who has been performing exceptionally well forBayern Munich and theFrench national team in recent months.”

Widespread reports claim that a deal to sign Barcola will surpass €100m, so this will not be a straightforward move.
