Arsenal may sign two left wingers this summer if Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli leave - but it is reported that Real Sociedad will not budge on their £65m asking price for Ander Barrenetxea.
The 24-year-old scored four times and claimed five assists in 30 LaLiga appearances this season and had hopes of going to the World Cup with Spain.
However, a late-season injury ended Barrenetxea's World Cup dream after he made his debut for Luis de la Fuente’s side in March.
Arsenal, led by sporting director Andrea Berta, have been exploring a deal for Barrenetxea, as well as Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and Christos Tzolis of Club Bruges, and Berta may sign two left wingers this summer if Trossard and Martinelli leave.

That's according to The Times, who say Trossard, who is in the final year of his deal, has been linked with clubs in Turkey, while Martinelli is said to be keen to explore a move abroad.
But the Gunners, who were beaten in last season's Champions League final by PSG, might find it difficult to strike a deal with Sociedad over Barrenetxea given they are reluctant to budge on the player's £65million release clause.
Arsenal, who won the Premier League last season, are also expected to make an approach to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa after identifying the England forward as their primary transfer target this summer.
football.london understands. that Mikel Arteta views the England midfielder as a potential game-changer for his side’s attacking options, but any more will be expensive.
Rogers scored ten goals and claimed six assists in the Premier League last season and also played a key role in Villa’s Europa League success.
The midfielder is currently away with England at the World Cup and did his best to play down the speculation linking him with a move away from Villa Park.
“I think the first time it ever happened it was,” he told The Rest is Football podcast when asked if the transfer rumours had ever ‘affected’ his game to the point of becoming a distraction.
“You’re in an uncomfortable spot of not realising that people have so much interest in you and you’re not quite realising that.
“But as you get older and gain experience along the way, you know that comes with it and 95 per cent of it is just noise.

“You hear it, of course you do. You can’t help not [hearing it]. You know it’s there, but you’ve got to use it in a positive way. You just try and get on with your game and just focus.”
