Liverpool’s 2026/27 away kit spotted for sale early – as retro details revealed

Liverpool’s new away strip, which has not yet been officially unveiled, has been spotted for sale, giving fans the best look so far at the new shirt.

There are plenty of unknowns to be conquered going into the new season: a new manager, new coaches and new players.

One thing that will become clearer soon, though, is the new away kit.

Liverpool wore the 2026/27 home kit on the final day of the season, but the new away strip is yet to be officially unveiled.

What will the 2026/27 Liverpool away kit look like?

Thanks to several leaks of the design, we are able to share how the new away kit will look.

X user @CapeTown_Bru even spotted the new strip mistakenly on sale in South African shop Studio 88.

The new shirt should be popular among fans thanks to the retro look Adidas have implemented, with the Liverpool crest harking back to the badge used on tickets in the 1970s.

This crest was also used on the beautiful 2025/26 sea-green third kit, as was the Adidas trefoil logo which will also feature on the new away kit.

The shirt features a V-neck collar with a striped design that is reminiscent of the club’s 1986 away shirt in which the team won the double.

The Adidas stripes running down the sleeves are broken by a white panel for the shirt-sleeve sponsor and the Premier League logo.

Meanwhile, previous leaks of the away goalkeeper top depict a purple-chested front and black sleeves with white crests and sponsors.

The new away strip is expected to be officially unveiled in July.

What about Liverpool’s new third kit?

Thanks to early leaks and mock-ups, we also have an idea of what the new third kit should entail.

It has been known for some time to be covered in a maroon and black pattern, as well as including a silver crest.

The shorts are purported to be black with the same silver Adidas stripes, as are the socks which should retain three hoops near the top.

It is said that the maroon and black pattern will resemble the Kop’s waving flags in an abstract manner, but fans aren’t fully convinced by the design, believing it may look more like a training top than one worn for games.
