Arsenal have been linked with a move for AS Roma’s Manu Kone over the past few weeks. The player appears very keen on the deal.

This came in the midst of Roma’s financial struggles. Due to FFP problems, they have to agree sales by 30th June and are open to Kone’s exit.

Quotidiano Sportivo report Gunners’ interest is not new. They tried to sign the France international in January but their approach was rejected. It would be much more welcome now, considering Roma’s situation.
The report clarifies that Arsenal aren’t the only club keen. Others, including Atletico Madrid, have also stepped forward. But the ‘player’s desire is clear’ and he only wants to join the London club.
He sees a move to the Gunners as something that boosts his stock further and it would be a ‘huge personal challenge’.
Roma also want offer
The report may be more based on Roma’s hope than truth, even if the player’s stance is quite clear. With less than a week to go for the FFP deadline, Arsenal haven’t made a formal approach.
