West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville remains a target for Manchester United, with a move potentially paving the way for the Red Devils to safely offload Marcus Rashford. A Premier League return for the Dutchman ought to net the Hammers a tidy transfer fee but they'll also want a replacement - and they look to be drawing closer.

Summerville, 24, is currently featuring for the Netherlands at the World Cup, where his displays have been attracting considerable attention. For that transfer to come to fruition, the relegated Hammers would need to bring in a replacement of their own, with Amario Cozier-Duberry the latest name to be linked.

Brighton youngster Cozier-Duberry only joined the Seagulls in 2024 after coming through Arsenal's academy but has impressed while out on loan. The 21 year old has just wrapped up a season-long spell at Bolton Wanderers, playing an instrumental role in the Trotters' promotion through the League One play-offs.

A step up to the Championship would represent a logical next step, with the Hammers reportedly leading the race for his signature, according to The Athletic. Should West Ham land Cozier-Duberry, it would pave the way for United's potential move for Summerville, who is valued at approximately £50million.

The former Leeds star's asking price could rise further should he continue to impress for his country in North America. There is understood to be no release clause contained within his Hammers contract, while United aren't the only club to be linked.

Summerville has already registered two goals and an assist in his first two World Cup appearances. He could add to those numbers on Friday, when Ronald Koeman's side meet Group F strugglers Tunisia, who have already been knocked out after losses to Sweden and Japan.

Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be interested. The European champions are anticipated to sanction Bradley Barcola's departure, leaving them requiring a new left-sided attacker.

As for Rashford, United have dismissed the possibility of allowing him to join Manchester City or Liverpool, who have previously shown interest, while Arsenal have cooled their pursuit of the forward. The 28-year-old's aspirations of a permanent move to Barcelona appear to have collapsed after the Catalan club let a £26m option expire, leaving his short-term future in doubt.

Tottenham remain interested, while Rashford is open to another European move. He will command a transfer fee of around £40m, though matching his current £325,000-per-week salary could prove the bigger hurdle.

For now, Rashford will be focusing on securing a place in England's starting XI for the Group L closer against Panama. He was introduced as a substitute in each of the first two group games, scoring against Croatia but failing to break down Ghana in a goalless draw on Tuesday.
