Everton will continue preparations for the 2026/27 campaign with a landmark men’s and women’s double-header against Hamburger SV in Germany.
The Blues will head to Hamburg on Saturday, August 1, where David Moyes’ side take on Hamburger SV at the Volksparkstadion (kick-off 5pm local time/4pm UK time).
Everton Women – with interim boss Scott Phelan now appointed on a permanent basis – will take on HSV-Frauen at the same venue earlier in the afternoon (kick-off 1.30pm local time, 12.30pm UK time). Further Everton Women pre-season fixtures will be announced in due course ahead of the start of the Barclays Women’s Super League season.
The double-header will give Evertonians the opportunity to follow both the club’s men’s and women’s teams overseas as part of a special weekend in one of Germany’s great footballing, cultural and maritime cities. Linked to Liverpool by shared port heritage, The Beatles and a proud football culture, the club says that Hamburg provides a fitting setting for a unique Everton occasion as they continue their pre-season programme.
Evertonians travelling to Hamburg will also be able to come together on Friday, July 31 for a special evening event delivered in collaboration with Bongo’s Bingo, combining the unmistakable energy of one of Liverpool’s best-known events with former Everton player appearances and the tradition, atmosphere, live music and shared tables of a German beer hall.
