“Never rule anything out” – Everton and Bournemouth target throws transfer door open

Potential Everton and Bournemouth target Jamie Leweling is leaving the transfer door firmly open for the Premier League duo this summer, despite currently focusing on the World Cup.

Fussball Transfers cover comments from the 25-year-old today. He is not ruling out a move from VfB Stuttgart this summer should offers be put on the table for him.

Everton and Bournemouth interest

They report that the winger was asked about a potential move this summer at a recent DFB press conference during the World Cup. And he made it clear that he was leaving the door open to any offers that may come his way.

“You can never rule anything out, and I wouldn’t say right now that I’m 100% staying,” he said.

“But I wouldn’t say I’m 100% certain to move either. My focus is on the World Cup right now; we can look at things further down the line.”

The winger has already been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer. Sport Witness covered a report earlier this year stating that Everton and Bournemouth are keen on him.

€50m asking price

Jamie Leweling

Fussball Transfers mention them again, stating that both sides have ‘expressed an interest’ in him. They also put Roma in to the mix as well.

Leweling is currently valued at around €50m, but his price continues to rise. He’s already made his debut at the World Cup with Germany in the 2-1 win over the Ivory Coast. Whether either of those three suitors would pay that for him, remains to be seen.

Leweling is clear, though, that he’s not ruling anything out at this moment in time.

“You should never rule anything out, especially in football,” he added.

“Things can happen quickly, but here comes my standard line: I’m happy in Stuttgart, we’re playing in the Champions League and I’m well-regarded there.”
