Liverpool ready to submit huge offer–Battle well and truly on

RB Leipzig are determined to keep saying no to Liverpool’s offers for Yan Diomande. That’s despite the Reds indicating that they will keep bidding.

SportBILD report on the 19-year-old today and how the race for his signature is unlikely to end until after the World Cup.

Liverpool offer

The newspaper explains that Liverpool set to the tone for Yan Diomande last week with their official offer for the winger.

Andoni Iraola’s side have made an attractive offer for the winger. That’s compromising of a base transfer fee of €80m and add-ons of up to €20m. Any club offering less than this has absolutely no chance of signing him now.

The exact figure that Liverpool or other financially powerful club actually pay will be revealed after the tournament.

Internally, sporting director Marcel Schäfer has an agreement with Red Bull’s head of football Jürgen Klopp. They will keep saying no as long as possible.

Liverpool not giving up

That has not put off Liverpool. While their initial offer was rejected, they have indicated a willingness to immediately offer a guaranteed €100m plus add-ons of €20m. Leipzig are facing pressure from Yan Diomande’s agents to accept the transfer this summer, though.

Those agents, Roc Nation, are playing both sides, though. They are also in talks with RB Leipzig about a contract extension this summer. His current deal already runs until 2030.

Leipzig are prepared to push their own salary limits to the very limit for their ‘super-talent’. However, that will still be significantly lower than what Liverpool and other top clubs in Europe can afford to offer the youngster this summer.

The decision will ultimately be Diomande’s to make. He must choose between another year at Leipzig as a star player in the Champions League, or a move to a big club his summer where he may need to fight his way into the team despite his huge price tag.
