Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is drawing serious attention this summer, with the Spanish giants placing a £52m price tag on the Frenchman. As per the latest transfer news, Chelsea are among those tracking the situation, alongside Manchester United and Liverpool.

Eduardo Camavinga and the Bernabeu exit door

As reported by CaughtOffside, both Manchester United and Chelsea have made direct contact over a potential move for Eduardo Camavinga. Real Madrid have made him available at £52m. That is a fee more than one club can meet. That is also precisely why this story has gathered pace so quickly.

Madrid’s willingness to sell is tied to Mourinho’s ongoing rebuild. The Portuguese manager has already signalled that several squad players can leave this summer. The French midfielder fits that profile. Eduardo Camavinga was once seen as a cornerstone of the club’s future. But limited starts and a dip in form over the last two seasons have shifted that thinking.

As reported by ESPN, he started just 16 of Real Madrid’s 29 La Liga matches last season. That alone reflects where he stands in the pecking order. Combined with Madrid’s need to fund further signings, the door to a departure is now open.

Three Premier League clubs chase Eduardo Camavinga

Manchester United’s interest makes sense. Michael Carrick’s side needs more quality and drive in central areas. Eduardo Camavinga offers both. At 23, he brings a Champions League pedigree. He can also play as a defensive midfielder, a box-to-box option, or even at left-back. That kind of versatility is hard to find in the football market.

Super Cup 2 2 0 0 7

UCL 11 5 1 1 40

Liverpool’s pursuit runs even deeper. As reported by CaughtOffside, the Reds have held two separate meetings with the player’s entourage and are believed to have done more groundwork than any other club at this stage. The Anfield side has been searching for more dynamism in midfield for some time, and the former Rennes man fits the profile they have been targeting.

The Blues, meanwhile, view him as a potential partner to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. Stamford Bridge’s recruitment team has monitored him for months. Their interest is genuine, even if a formal bid has not been lodged yet. That said, three clubs are going for the same player. It is shaping up to be an open race. Each club has a real reason to sign him and none of them can afford to delay.

The player’s position complicates things

For all the Premier League noise around Eduardo Camavinga, one thing keeps coming up: he is not pushing to leave. As reported by Football Transfers, the player had no desire to exit the Bernabéu earlier this year. That stance has not fully changed. He still believes he can force his way back into regular contention under Mourinho.

Fabrizio Romano also noted that Madrid are not selling under pressure. If no strong proposal arrives, Los Blancos are happy to keep him. His contract runs until 2029. They are in no rush. Madrid knows the interest is there. They can afford to be patient and pick the right offer.

That said, £52m is a fee that top Premier League clubs can manage. Club openness combined with genuine competition rarely remains quiet for long. If one of the three sides submits a firm offer first, the others will have little time to respond. Eduardo Camavinga may not be pushing for the exit. But the exit is finding its way to him regardless.
