Tottenham Hotspur officially complete Martin Dubravka signing
Tottenham Hotspur have officially completed the signing of veteran goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on a free transfer following his departure from Burnley, as the club announced on their website.
The North London club moved quickly to secure the experienced shot-stopper as they continue strengthening their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.
Spurs said in a statement, “We are delighted to announce the signing of Martin Dubravka.
“A vastly experienced Slovakia international goalkeeper, he will join us on 1 July following the expiration of his contract with Burnley.”
Martin Dubravka arrives with extensive Premier League experience, including a previous spell at Manchester United.
The 37-year-old becomes another experienced addition as Spurs look to bolster squad depth in key areas.
Tottenham have been actively working to reinforce their goalkeeper group amid uncertainty over long-term roles within the squad.
Guglielmo Vicario’s future has been under discussion, while Antonin Kinsky finished last season as the preferred starter, making seven consecutive appearances.
Dubravka is expected to provide experienced cover and competition as Spurs prepare for a demanding season across multiple competitions.
The veteran goalkeeper also brings a familiar name for Premier League followers, having previously spent time at Manchester United on loan from Newcastle United.
During his short spell at Old Trafford in the 2022/23 season, he made two appearances in the Carabao Cup.
His debut came in a 4-2 win over Aston Villa, followed by a 2-0 victory against Burnley before his loan was cut short in January 2023.
