Liverpool are set for a crucial pre-season this summer following a disappointing 2025–26 campaign, as they finished fifth in the league table.

After winning the Premier League in the 2024/25 season and investing heavily in the summer, including the arrivals of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, expectations were high at Anfield.

However, the Reds finished the campaign without silverware, hampered by injuries and inconsistent form. Liverpool will face Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds United during their 2026 pre-season tour as they prepare for the 2026–27 season.

The tour begins on July 25 in Nashville, where they take on Sunderland at GEODIS Park. They then face Wrexham on July 29 at Yankee Stadium in New York, before concluding on August 2 in Chicago against Leeds United at Soldier Field.

Liverpool will return home to conclude their 2026–27 pre-season with two fixtures at Anfield, hosting AS Monaco on August 9 and Como 1907 on August 16.

The match against Ligue 1 side Monaco kicks off at 2:30pm BST and marks the first meeting between the sides since the group stage of Liverpool’s 2004–05 Champions League-winning campaign.

Serie A side Como 1907 will then visit Anfield for a 6pm BST kick-off in what will be the first-ever meeting between the clubs.

Meanwhile, the club have officially confirmed that the Liverpool U21 side will take on Bromley FC as part of their pre-season schedule.

A club statement read: “A Liverpool U21s side will travel to Bromley FC as part of their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

“Rob Page’s squad will make the journey south to the Copperjax Community Stadium on Wednesday August 5 (7.45pm BST kick-off). Bromley were crowned champions of League Two last season, earning promotion to League One for the first time in their history.

“Reds fans have been allocated a designated away area, where there are 574 total tickets available, consisting of 330 standing, 240 seating and two wheelchair bays (plus carers). Tickets are priced at £18 for adults, £15 for over 65s and £5 for U21s and are available here.”
