Chelsea have Leeds United‘s Gabriel Gudmundsson on their radar for this summer, with the news coming from Sweden yesterday.
The Blues are in the market for a new left-back, after letting Marc Cucurella complete a permanent move to Real Madrid earlier this month.
On Wednesday, Sport Witness covered claims from Sweden that Chelsea are considering a shock move for the Leeds United player.
The Whites signed the Sweden international from Lille in July 2025. He was the first choice for Daniel Farke and played 35 matches in his debut season.

The Leeds United player believes the west London club’s rumoured interest shows he’s on the right track.
“Of course, it’s a sign that you’re doing something right, but obviously all my focus is on the national team right now, so that’s all I can say,” he said.
The fullback has also sent a clear message to his representative on his immediate priority.
“I’ve worked with him for 10 years; he knows that when I’m here, I want to wear this jersey and focus on that. So that’s the bottom line,” Gudmundsson explained.
Chelsea could tempt Leeds United man
The Swede insists he’s focusing on the World Cup but hasn’t closed the door on leaving Elland Road this summer.
Gabriel Gudmundsson’s comments would suggest he would consider a move to Chelsea after the World Cup, provided the Blues make advances.
It’ll be down to Xabi Alonso’s side to decide whether to tempt the Leeds United player or bet on another target.
Daniel Farke’s side, for their part, could demand a hefty fee considering Gudmundsson has a contract until 2029. Transfermarkt now value him at €20m.
