Chelsea transfer push puts Nottingham Forest and Brentford players in transfer spotlight

Inter Milan have now turned their attention to Brentford and Nottingham Forest as they look to quickly pivot from missing out on Marco Palestra.

Tuttomercatoweb report that the Italian champions now have their eye on Nottingham Forest’s Dan Ndoye and Brentford’s Michael Kayode.

Brentford and Nottingham Forest players eyed

The website explains that Inter have been left high and dry by Chelsea’s sudden move for Palestra. They believed that they had wrapped up a deal for the defender and were set to seal a deal with Atalanta.

Instead, they have been forced to concede defeat to Chelsea. The Blues made a sudden push this week with a revised offer to Atalanta and the player that Inter simply could not match.

Now Palestra is out of the picture, they need to find other options to replace Denzel Dumfries this summer. The Dutchman is expected to leave for Real Madrid in the coming weeks.

There are currently two names ‘doing the rounds’ at the Italian club. Nottingham Forest’s Dan Ndoye is one of them. He was a potential target last summer before leaving Bologna for Nottingham Forest. He, though, is seen as more of a forward player than the wing-back Inter want.

Inter change plans

Brentford’s Michael Kayode is another player who has been long rated by the Serie A champions.

He, though, is ‘slightly behind the pack’ at this moment in time. In simpler terms, he’s not a priority target for the time being. He’s just on the list of options being looked at.

But Chelsea’s sudden more for Palestra has forced Inter to look at alternative options, and quickly. And as a result, their attention is now on two potential options in the Premier League.

The Nottingham Forest forward appears to be further up that list than the Brentford man for now. But there is plenty of time for that to change in the coming weeks.
