Albion linked with Juventus star and Arsenal title-winner

The club are reported by the BBC to be in talks with Juventus midfielder Lia Walti.

The Switzerland captain helped Arsenal take the biggest prizes both in Europe and the domestic league before heading to Italy last summer.

She is the second midfielder to be linked with the Seagulls during what has so far been a quiet close-season.

Sources in the Canary Islands believe they are in talks over Costa Adeje Tenerife star Natalia Ramos.

The 27-year-old operates in a deep-lying midfield role but finished last season with ten goals and five assists.

Albion are looking to build on two seasons under head coach Dario Vidosic which have brought a best-ever league finish and then a first Wembley final.

News of their plan for a purpose-built stadium have also been reported internationally which has further enhanced the club’s reputation.

For example, Tuttosport – the main sports newspaper in Turin and therefore a big focus of Juventus news – carried an extensive report and picture of the new venue due to be opened by 2030, when plans were first revealed.

Word will inevitably have spread about the ambition of the club even before Albion state their case to any potential new signing.

They will hope that can help them attract players for what looks an increasingly competitive battle for the WSL’s leading places.
