Marc Cucurella has urged Enzo Fernandez to follow him to Real Madrid this summer. The Chelsea star has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos for a while now as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
football.london understands that Real Madrid are interested in signing Fernandez. The Blues would rather keep the 25-year-old midfielder, whom they signed from Benfica for £106.7million in 2023, but they won't stand in his way if they receive an offer worth £120m.
At the time of writing, the Spanish giants are yet to contact Chelsea about a potential transfer, but that's likely to change soon. Meanwhile, Fernandez, who's viewed as a top target by the Real Madrid boss, wants to swap Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Bernabeu; personal terms not expected to be an issue.
Cucurella, with whom he's good friends, made the switch earlier this month, becoming Mourinho's first official signing of the summer. Los Blancos forked out £51.8m to sign 27-year-old defender from the Blues.

During an interview with Radio Marca while away with Spain at the World Cup, Cucurella claimed he hopes Fernandez joins him at Real Madrid. As quoted by the Metro, the former Chelsea left-back said: "He is a great player, and he’s a friend of mine.
"He congratulated me on my signing [for Madrid]. Let’s hope it gets done. I’d be very happy. We’ve been very happy at Chelsea, and both having the chance to sign for Madrid in the same summer… let’s hope he’s lucky, and he becomes a Real Madrid player."

On the pressure of playing for Real Madrid, Cucurella said: "It’s a great challenge. Fitting in or succeeding there isn’t easy. It’s a very demanding club, where you have to be 100 per cent in every match; every team wants to beat you because of what Real Madrid represents.
"Everything is evaluated at the end of the season, looking at the titles, the matches, etcetera, it comes at a good time for me. I’ll try to give my best. I’m an intense player who always gives everything for the team and my teammates.
"The most important thing is to rebuild that winning team that Real Madrid already has as a foundation, but to finish improving a couple of things that haven’t quite worked in recent years. We all want the same thing – to win titles."
As it stands, it remains unclear whether Los Blancos will table an offer for Fernandez, but they certainly have cash to splash. Earlier this month, Florentino Perez showed his cards, submitting a €150m (£129m) bid for Julian Alvarez.

The Real Madrid chief made the proposal to Atletico Madrid immediately after he was re-elected in the first contested presidential vote since 2006. Los Colchoneros rejected the offer, leaving Perez red-faced.
The 79-year-old has since welcomed Cucurella and Ibrahima Konate to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Denzel Dumfries expected to join, too.
