Personal terms agreed: Liverpool now preparing huge bid to sign 'superstar' for Iraola - report

Liverpool are set to ramp up their approach for Yan Diomande this summer, as reports claim that another large bid is being prepared by the club.

It comes as the Reds have identified the Ivorian international as their long-term Mohamed Salah replacement on the right flank, having stepped up their interest in the 19-year-old in recent weeks.

Recent reports have claimed that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Diomande, in a huge boost to their cause, amid competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, there is still the challenge of agreeing a deal with his club, RB Leipzig, who are insistent on a stay for the winger over the next few months.

However, Liverpool are set to test the club's resolve once again.

According to SportBILD, via Sport Witness, Liverpool are now set to make their second offer to RB Leipzig over a deal to secure Diomande this summer.

The initial proposal was €80 million with €20 million in add-ons (totalling £86.2 million), a fee that was turned down by the Bundesliga club, with the second offer set to eclipse that.

There is now an offer being prepared that is €100 million in guaranteed cash plus add-ons of €20 million (totalling £103.4 million), outlining the extent to which the Reds are prepared to go with a move.

The report adds that Leipzig are facing pressure to accept a deal, with the agents looking to seal a move, though talks are also ongoing over a fresh contract at the club.

That could help secure his future with a pay rise, though it's claimed that it will still be lower than what Liverpool and their rivals could offer the star.

It remains to be seen whether they can get a deal over the line, as all things point towards a conclusion after the World Cup.

Liverpool Face Pressure After Diomande Deal

There is no denying Diomande's talent. The young winger has shown he has quality, having been described as a "superstar" despite only recently breaking through.

However, there will be some pressure that comes with a move, not just for the Ivory Coast international, but for Liverpool as well, once they get a deal done.

Diomande will be the third signing costing over £100 million to join in the past year, if the Reds seal a move, underlining the extent to which they have spent in the transfer market.

Perfect for Iraola: Liverpool Prepare First Bid For 'Highly-Rated' Star

Liverpool are showing interest in signing a new defender this summer, with a bid now prepared for a target.

If Andoni Iraola is unable to find ways to score out of the winger, as well as Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, then there may be some heavy scrutiny on the manager, as well as the recruitment department.

It remains to be seen whether that will be the case, or whether Diomande could end up unlocking the rest of the team with his arrival.
