Liverpool approach Real Madrid over Camavinga deal

Liverpool have approached Real Madrid over a potential move for midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Real Madrid are open to offers for the France international this summer, as part of Jose Mourinho’s rebuild at the Bernabeu.

Camavinga struggled for form during a difficult 2025/26 campaign and was not included in the France squad for the 2026 World Cup as a result.

Despite that, interest in the 23-year-old remains high. A number of Premier League clubs have a long-standing interest in Camavinga, who has won two La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies in Madrid.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have made initial contact to discuss a deal, and gauge the player’s interest in a transfer to Anfield. The Reds have doubts over the future of Curtis Jones, who has been subject of a bid from Inter Milan.

Camavinga also has experience at left-back, an area lacking depth following Andy Robertson’s free transfer move to Tottenham.

Real Madrid are ready to consider offers for Camavinga as the Spanish side look to raise funds for the pursuit of a high-profile midfielder. Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is high among the club’s list of potential transfer targets.
