Mohamed Salah set to cash in with€60-80m contract after Liverpool exit

Liverpool could now see Mohamed Salah move towards Saudi Arabia. Al Hilal are making the Egyptian their dream target after his Anfield exit.

According to Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade, who has built a strong reputation for his contacts across both the European and Saudi transfer markets, Al Hilal are looking to sign a forward after the World Cup. Salah is now their priority.

The reporter says the 34-year-old has left Liverpool after eight seasons. His free-agent status makes the operation simpler because there would be no club negotiation involved.

The Saudi side have set aside €60m (£51.2m) for the player’s salary across a three-year contract. That would be paid as €20m (£17.1m) per season.

There is also the possibility of a fourth year. That would add another €20m (£17.1m), taking the full package to €80m (£68.3m).

Al Hilal’s plan

Mohamed Salah is described as Al Hilal’s “maximum dream” for the attack. Bruno Andrade says Raphinha and other names are still in the background. Yet the Barcelona player is no longer the main plan.

That is a change from 2024, when Raphinha was Al Hilal’s priority. At that time, the Saudi club were working with a bigger proposal, worth around €100m (£85.4m) across three years.

The money now available comes from the prince. He bought Al Hilal from the Saudi sovereign fund earlier this year, according to the report.

Andrade added that “something tells me it will end up being Mohamed Salah”.

For Liverpool, Salah’s departure from Anfield has quickly placed him at the centre of one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest summer plans.
