Arsenal will face Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup on Sunday, 9 August, and have confirmed they intend to announce one more pre-season fixture, taking their summer schedule to five matches.
Yesterday, the club revealed Mikel Arteta’s side will travel to face Girona at the Montilivi Stadium on 1 August before taking on Real Betis in Dublin four days later.
Dortmund’s visit to N5 will then be followed by a second home friendly, likely against Italian side Como in midweek, before Arsenal head to Cardiff to face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday 16 August.
With 15 players involved at the World Cup, which does not conclude until 19 July, Arsenal opted against embarking on an overseas tour this summer.
They begin the defence of their Premier League title on Friday, 21 August against newly promoted Coventry.
Tickets for the 15th edition of the Emirates Cup go on sale at 11am on Monday, 29 June, with priority access available to members.
